Charlotte/Douglas International is 25 minutes north of Rock Hill in Charlotte, North Carolina.

How soon should I book a departing flight on Saturday after the Championship ends?

Evening flights should not be booked any earlier than 8:00PM. Post tournament activities will conclude as quickly as possible. Allow 30 minutes drive time to Charlotte-Douglas International Airport and at least 2 hours to check in.

How far is the tournament hotel from the course?

The Wingate Inn is 4 miles from Winthrop.

Is there shuttle service from the airport to Rock Hill?

The Wingate Inn provides shuttle service to competitors and their family members staying at the hotel. Daily pick up times are 11:00am, 4:00pm and 8:00pm. There is a limit per pickup of 12 people. Reservations are required and there is a $15.00 fee. Interested players should contact the Wingate at 803.324.9000.

Is there camping available near the course?

The best campground in the area is Ebenezer Park located right on Lake Wylie. It is beautiful, especially if a space is available overlooking the water. Most camp sites do have a water view so it shouldn’t be that difficult to reserve. But do call in advance.

Do I need a rental car?

It is not necessary but recommended. There is no substitute for being prepared. If inclement conditions prevail, you will benefit from having appropriate gear readily available. U-Save Auto Rental is a multi year sponsor of the Championship and will provide competitor vehicles. Those renting from U-Save will have their vehicles waiting at the hotel. They may also be left at the hotel upon departure. Special rates are available but reservations must be made online.
