USDGC Side Action
The following side action events have become staples at the US Championship. Registration for each event can be taken care of at check in.
US Distance Championship
Fee: None
Description: Qualifying for the distance is Wednesday, October 1st from 4 pm until dark. Finals will be held Thursday night at Manchester Meadows at 8 pm. Top finishers will be featured during the King Masher Distance Showcase at the conclusion of the tournament.
Prizes: Champion - $500 and crowned US Distance Champion, 2nd Place - $250, 3rd Place - $100
Garrett Gurthie is once again the US Distance Champion with a throw of 510 feet.
Clutch - The Ultimate Putting Challenge
Fee: None
Description: Qualifying for the finals takes place throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday. Top 6 finalists (plus ties) will go head to head on Friday night in an NBA 3-Point Shootout-style competition. Competitors attempt to drain 25 putts from 32′ in 100 seconds. The drama is high down the stretch as players seek to become the World’s Hottest Putter.
Prizes: Champion - $500, 2nd Place - $250, 3rd Place - $100

DGU Handicap Rounds
Fee: $5.00 per round
Description: All USDGC competitors are rated by the Disc Golf U handicapping service. Overall payouts after each round based on current handicap.
Prizes: Cash - Varies by Participation
Progressive Ace Pool
Fee: $5.00 per round
Description: Individual ace pools are available for each round. If no aces are hit then money rolls over to the following round. Due to the tee time format, multiple daily aces will share that day’s total prize money.
Prizes: Cash - Varies by Participation
Rockstar Par 3 Shootout - $1000 Bounty
Fee: $50 per team
Description: One round of Captain’s Choice Doubles. Shoot a 36 to get the $1000 bounty. And don’t worry about missing the lead groups compete in the Championship, we’ll be done in plenty of time to see them tee off.
